Hi Everyone,
Some of the older members of our Club may remember the founder of Perspectate, Jason Foster aka Plutonicfluf plutonicfluf.deviantart.com/
Jason passed away 5 years ago and the world lost a true artist. Jason was a smart, funny person who was a very creative photographer and expressed that creativity here on DA. Through the Perspectate club, Jason encourage and challenged other photographers to think outside of the visual “box” and work to see things anew in different ways. I was one of the people he challenged and it made me a better photographer for it.
As it has been 5 years since Jason’s passing, his Uncle Alex put this video together and his parents posted it on Vimeo. vimeo.com/102471890 They also posted links to his music and the Jason Foster Youth Memorial Fund, which helps teens take the Youth Empowerment Seminar (YES!) – read more hereplutonicfluf.com/memorial-fund.
If you remember Jason or if you are just reading about him now for the first time, I would encourage you to watch the video. It features many styles of his art and his music. It is a fitting memorial to both him and his talent. Maybe it will even inspire you.
In the words of Neil Gaiman, “Do what only you do best. Make good art.”
Yours,

:bulletred: NEW: We will no longer be accepting close ups, especially of flowers, pets and people. Macros are iffy and Micros would be better but I need you guys to stop taking the easy way with your submissions and start thinking out of the box more. That was the whole point of the club, to help people think out of the box. Close ups have been sliding by on technicality but now we really need to let it go.
For Newbies
:bulletblue:This is a club in which the pictures you submit must have a interesting perspective. This could be something shot at a noticeable angle (such as a Dutch Angle), an extreme close up/macro, tilt shift/bokeh or refle

That was the whole point of the club, to help people think out of the box. Close ups have been sliding by on technicality but now it is starting to look like the Flower Club around here. So that being said, will I still be taking those kinds of submissions? Probably not. You are going to have to work harder and "wow" me if you are going to send them in. OK?
Also, for those who send in portrait photos every week- portr
